Environmental Club

Greenpreneurs is the environmental arm of Kids in Business.

It’s a club where tamariki and rangatahi learn how to combine entrepreneurship with sustainability, building the skills to protect our planet while creating new ideas and opportunities.

Join our Environmental Club and be part of a community that values sustainability and social responsibility. Together, we can create a brighter future for the next generation.

What is a Greenpreneur?

A Greenpreneur is a young entrepreneur who cares for the environment.

They:

  • Take part in hands-on projects like planting, waste reduction, and eco-markets.

  • Learn about kaitiakitanga (guardianship of the land and water).

  • Build eco-business skills, from selling sustainable products to running

  • climate-positive events.

  • Become leaders in their schools, whānau, and communities.

What We Do

  • Adopt a Spot – kids plant and care for roundabouts, verges, and                           green spaces in their communities.

  • Eco Markets – showcasing products and ideas created from recycled, upcycled, or sustainable materials.

  • Environmental Club  – monthly activities to inspire action (e.g. waste-free challenges, citizen science).

  • Workshops & Challenges – fun, practical learning on climate action and green innovation.

Why It Matters

Climate change is the biggest challenge facing the next generation. Greenpreneurs empowers tamariki to not just understand the problem, but to lead the solutions. By linking business and environment, they learn that protecting the planet can also create opportunities, jobs, and thriving communities.
